Save the Polar Bear simulates a classic arcade game box with three distinct games played simultaneously. The main frame assembly is composed of 6 Duron 1/4 inch panels, an LCD box on top, and a user-interface panel on the bottom front. The inner 3 panels holds together the subassemblies of each game, and the outer 3 panels protect all components. Below can be seen the general dimensions and layout of the game box

Sub-Assemblies
The links were laser cut from birch wood of thickness 1/8th inch. The main base that mounts the servo was cut using 1/8th inch duron. The slider link was simply a long bolt that and slid in the 3mm wide groove cut in the base.
This subassembly fits into the main assembly via the eight corner bolts.

Recycle Basket
A simple beam break circuit consisting of a IR LED/photo-transistor pair was used to detect when objects passed through the recycle bin. The recycle bin was 3D printed with channels and holes on the sides to accommodate the sensor, the LED, and the wires. The bin was approximately 100x130x100 mm in size.
